A good and sustainable city requires compatibility between the various functions services that it provides its residents. This study examined relations development of new residential neighborhoods transportation infrastructure by applying Tiebout’s model club goods. Thus, we introduced spatial dimension into theory goods referring to as clubs their residents club’s members, who make location decisions. Specifically, explored how behave spatially in response problematic neighborhoods. That is, consider socioeconomic implications inadequate infrastructure, used data from newly developed Israel examine extent which an increase traffic congestion can reduce a neighborhood’s size. Our findings show negative correlation increases travel time number housing transactions undertaken given neighborhood, thus confirming assumption people vote with feet: When increases, prefer leave neighborhood move, all likelihood, place less congestion. The paper also discusses results respect social consequences these trends warns against expected consequences, namely those afford do so will favor better conditions. key lessons derived this Israeli experience are considered relevant many other countries experiencing similar situations.
